Experience

I work on all graphic design projects from inception to production. First creating the idea with the client, then designing and preparing for print. I have connections with vendors, photographers (besides myself), printers and copy-writers so that you can leave it all to me. No project is too large or too small for me to complete. Some of the programs I use include Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and yes, those cases when the client would like a Word or PowerPoint template.

Surfrider Foundation

The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's ocean, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network. They wanted business cards that reflected such, so I chose to emphasize the wave icon as part of of the logo. With clean, simple lines, the message is clear and simple.

Project: business cards

Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes

The goal of this nationally recognized chain is to create a healthy option for buffet-styled dining. Much of the branding was based on their mascot "Sweetie" the tomato and included strict guidleines with limited color options, fonts and photos to choose from when designing.

Projects: monthly collateral, gift cards, stickers, food tags, posters, signage, brochures, illustrations and advertisements

Comic Con

I worked with the San Diego Convention Center to create Comic Con buttons for their employees to wear during the event. The purpose was to welcome attendees and clearly display both the Convention Center title as well as Comic Con.

Project: buttons

Center on Global Transformation (CGT), UC San Diego

CGT is a research based center that strives to connect the worlds of academic inquiry and policy analysis. Having designed for CGT through its rebranding phase was an exciting challenge that led to more consistency throughout its site and materials.

Projects: annual reports, flyers, inserts, podium banners

San Diego Convention Center

The San Diego Convention Center is San Diego's largest meeting space for conventions and hosts Comic Con on a yearly basis. For each convention, I was responsible for creating any collateral the event organizers requested. Primary purpose was to welcome attendees to San Diego and provide direction and helpful information through visual pieces.

Projects: brochures, advertisements, directional sigange, banners, buttons, handouts

School of Global Policy and Stategy (GPS), UC San Diego

(Formerly the School of International Relations and Pacific Studies), GPS is a graduate school focused on addressing the crucial societal challenges of the 21st century. Throughout the rebranding of the school, I played a valuable role in aiding the direction of the visual elements and collateral.

Projects: brochures, advertisements, infographics, banners, maps, posters, handouts

HeadNorth

A nonprofit organization that assists individuals with spinal cord injuries. The focus was to get donations, so much of the advertising was aimed toward funding.

Projects: business cards, Large scale posters, mailers, PowerPoint templates
